FACT: One urinal can use up 150,000 liter of valuable water on an annual basis. 

 Waterless urinals usually have a silicone coating on the urinal surfaces only and not in the drainage piping. The silicone on the urinal will somewhat repel urine but still requires constant daily flushing of the urinal surface, and regular de-scaling of drainage pipe. De-scaling under most other urinal deep-cleaning & de-scaling program is required at least 4 times a year to keep urinal in optimum condition, and requires the use of heavy grade carcinogenic and invasive chemicals which ultimately released into our waterways. Others with replaceable plastic cartridge that fitted onto urinal drain that just try to block the smell out with rubber seal and also it is expensive. 

Solution: The main purpose of waterless urinal is to save water without flushing, or nominal flushing usage.

Urine is largely made up of urea, which degrade into ammonia and it is this ammonia which when released into the atmosphere that contributes to the urine odor problems.
